The PROTECTOR MAX rope protection mat offers nothing less than an optimally protected rope in all conceivable situations. The mat can be adjusted to the area of use, rope run-through, and gear to always offer ideal protection for the rope and the structure. The basic design is simple yet ingenious: a flexible fabric mat made from a robust blend of polyester and polyamide with an internal layer of foam combined with five interchangeable aluminum ribs (separately available as PROTECTOR MAX SHIELD). The aluminum ribs have a reinforced geometry so as to remain stable and not deform even when subjected to high loads. They can be easily positioned on the mat in their holder using the VCR fastener. Both the mat and the SHIELD element can be used separately depending on the specific scenario. For example, the rope protection mat can also be wrapped around the rope like a tube (both lengthwise and crosswise). It is also possible to combine several mats or attach two SHIELD elements to a mat in a modular manner, for example to protect the rope when running over a wall with a double 90-degree change in direction. Multiple loops enable the mat to be secured to structures as well as gear to be attached in order to facilitate directional changes or optimally centralize the rope run-through. As the aluminum ribs reduce friction, even systems with running ropes can be implemented without issue. The back of the rope protection mat is reinforced with three Hypalon strips, which also prevent it from slipping on the structure.
